Privacy Policy – RoutePilot Offline

Green Bubble Labs built RoutePilot Offline as a navigation application designed to provide offline maps, offline route calculation, place search, pedestrian navigation, automobile navigation, and related navigation features.
This Privacy Policy explains how RoutePilot Offline accesses, uses, processes, stores, and, when applicable, shares information while you use the application.
By using RoutePilot Offline, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. General Privacy Approach
RoutePilot Offline has been designed so that its core navigation functions can operate primarily on the user's device.
Downloaded maps, offline routing information, place databases, route calculations, and most navigation processing are stored or processed locally on the device.
RoutePilot Offline does not require the user to create an account in order to use its core navigation functions.
Green Bubble Labs does not sell users' personal information.
2. Information and Device Permissions Used by the App
RoutePilot Offline may request access to certain information or device capabilities that are necessary for specific functions.
Location
RoutePilot Offline uses the device's location to:
determine the user's current position;
display the user's position on the map;
calculate and follow navigation routes;
estimate progress along a route;
provide automobile and pedestrian navigation;
recalculate routes when necessary;
search for relevant nearby locations or services.
Location information used for core navigation is processed primarily on the user's device.
RoutePilot Offline does not use location information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
3. Camera
RoutePilot Offline may request access to the device camera for augmented reality navigation features.
Camera access is used only when the user activates functionality that requires the camera, such as augmented reality pedestrian navigation.
Camera images may be processed locally on the device using computer vision technologies.
RoutePilot Offline does not intentionally upload or permanently store camera images on Green Bubble Labs servers as part of normal navigation operation.
The user may continue using conventional map navigation without activating augmented reality features.
4. Microphone and Voice Commands
RoutePilot Offline may request access to the microphone to allow the user to issue voice navigation commands.
The microphone is activated only when voice recognition functionality is used.
RoutePilot Offline itself does not permanently record or store voice recordings.
Speech recognition may be performed by the speech recognition service installed or configured on the Android device. Depending on the device and the selected speech recognition provider, audio or speech data may be processed by that provider according to its own privacy policy and device settings.
For example, some Android devices may use speech recognition services provided by Google or another system service.
Green Bubble Labs does not control the privacy practices of third-party speech recognition providers.
5. Offline Maps, Routes, and Search Data
RoutePilot Offline allows users to download navigation packages containing information such as:
maps;
road network data;
offline routing data;
place information;
geographic labels;
navigation-related databases.
These files are stored locally on the device.
Route calculations performed using offline routing data are processed locally whenever the required navigation data has been downloaded.
Searches performed against downloaded place databases are also processed locally.
6. Internet and Network Access
Although RoutePilot Offline is designed for offline navigation, Internet access may be used for functions that require communication with external services, including, for example:
downloading map and country packages;
checking or retrieving downloadable navigation resources;
accessing links opened by the user;
system services used by Android;
speech recognition services when the selected provider requires an Internet connection.
When a device connects to an Internet server, technical information such as the device's IP address may necessarily be visible to the server providing that resource.
RoutePilot Offline does not use network access to build advertising profiles based on the user's navigation activity.
7. Locally Stored Information
RoutePilot Offline may store information locally on the device in order to provide and maintain application functionality.
This may include:
downloaded maps;
routing files;
place databases;
application settings;
navigation preferences;
temporary navigation state;
route information;
locally cached resources.
This information generally remains on the user's device unless a specific feature explicitly requires communication with another service.
Users can remove locally stored application data using the Android application settings or by uninstalling the application.
8. Personal and Sensitive User Data
Depending on which features the user activates, RoutePilot Offline may access data considered personal or sensitive by Android or Google Play, particularly:
precise or approximate location;
camera access;
microphone access.
These permissions are requested only when required for the corresponding functionality.
RoutePilot Offline does not use these permissions for advertising.
Users may revoke permissions at any time through the Android system settings. Some application features may no longer function if the required permission is disabled.
9. Data Sharing
Green Bubble Labs does not sell personal data collected through RoutePilot Offline.
Core offline navigation data, including route calculations and downloaded map databases, is not shared with advertisers.
Certain information may be processed by external services when the user uses functionality provided by the Android operating system or other third-party services.
Examples may include:
the speech recognition provider installed on the device;
Internet hosting infrastructure used to download navigation resources;
Google Play and Android system services associated with installation, updates, security, and application distribution.
Any information processed directly by those third parties is subject to their respective privacy policies.
10. Advertising
The current version of RoutePilot Offline does not contain advertising functionality and does not use user location for targeted advertising.
If advertising or additional third-party analytics services are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those features become available.
11. Analytics and Crash Information
RoutePilot Offline does not intentionally create a user advertising profile based on navigation activity.
Android, Google Play, the device manufacturer, or other system-level services may independently collect technical information such as application crashes, device characteristics, operating system version, or installation information according to their own privacy policies and settings.
Green Bubble Labs may use technical diagnostic information made available through authorized developer tools solely for purposes such as identifying errors, improving stability, and maintaining the application.
12. Third-Party Software and Services
RoutePilot Offline uses software libraries and technologies developed by third parties to provide certain functions.
These may include technologies related to:
map rendering;
offline routing;
computer vision;
Android system services;
speech recognition.
The inclusion of a third-party software library does not necessarily mean that personal information is transmitted to the developer of that library.
Some third-party or system services may independently process information when their functionality is used.
Users are encouraged to review the privacy settings and privacy policies applicable to the services installed on their device.
13. Data Retention
Information processed locally by RoutePilot Offline may remain on the device for as long as it is needed by the application or until the user deletes it.
Users may delete locally stored application information by:
deleting downloaded resources within the application when such controls are available;
clearing RoutePilot Offline application data through Android Settings; or
uninstalling RoutePilot Offline.
RoutePilot Offline does not intentionally maintain an independent remote database containing users' continuous navigation history, camera images, or voice recordings as part of its normal core navigation functionality.
14. Data Deletion
Because the core version of RoutePilot Offline does not require a personal user account, there is normally no Green Bubble Labs user account that must be deleted.
Locally stored information can be removed from the device through Android's application management controls or by uninstalling the application.
If a future version introduces an account-based service or remote storage of personal data, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain the applicable data deletion procedure.
15. Security
Green Bubble Labs values the security of user information and designs RoutePilot Offline to minimize unnecessary transmission of navigation data.
However, no electronic system, device, network connection, or method of data storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should keep their Android device, operating system, and installed applications updated and use appropriate device security measures.
16. Links to External Sites
RoutePilot Offline may contain links that open websites or services operated by third parties.
Green Bubble Labs does not control those external websites or their privacy practices.
Users should review the privacy policy of any external website or service they choose to access.
17. Children's Privacy
RoutePilot Offline is a general navigation application and is not specifically designed or directed toward children under the age of 13.
Green Bubble Labs does not knowingly use RoutePilot Offline to collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.
If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy or applicable law, appropriate steps will be taken to address the situation.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when RoutePilot Offline changes, when new functionality is introduced, or when legal or platform requirements change.
Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
Any changes will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date will be modified accordingly.
